Hike Kidz Foundation works to provide programs, partnerships and campaigns to address crisis in our community, locally.  We fundraise and connect through grass roots and we look outside the area to bring resources in. We believe in the power of partnership. From crisis response to prevention, we look to create solutions with the leaders that are passionate about fillling the gaps.

WHAT WE DO & WAYS TO HELP

OUR PROGRAMS

THE GRACE FUND

The Grace Program funds the immediate crisis needs of emergency shelter assistance for parents and families in the winter. This fund makes it possible to keep the child with the parent as Warren County does not have a shelter for children at this time. This is a 48 hour fund available through referrals from the WCPS, Front Royal Police Department, Warren County Sheriffs Department, Churches, and the Department of Social Services. Once the family is able to be moved into one of the local established programs and intake is complete, the Grace Fund is complete.

BOXES OF BASICS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Boxes of Basics works directly with the Hike Kidz Foundation and it's local partners in Warren County to help serve the need of basic clothing for the local children most in need. â€‹â€‹

Boxes of Basics provides seasonal clothing to our local children 0-17 experiencing clothing insecurities.

"We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the Hike Kidz Foundation to bring Boxes of Basics to the most vulnerable children in need in Front Royal and Warren County.

The Hike Kidz Foundation is already doing amazing work to unburden children and their caretakers by meeting basic needs, and they are continuing to invest in bringing resources to those kids. Together, we’ll make an even greater impact." - Boxes of Basics

"I'M ON MY WAY"

The I'm on my way program is an empowerment event that invites our local leaders to speak to the middle and high school students that are facing hardships and adversity.

This is a two day event in July that prepares them for the next school year with more confidence and determination.  This program is a reminder that you can continue to nurture your dreams and reach them regardless of your current curcumstances.

 "HOLD MY HEART"

Love is on the way: "Hold My Heart: The Love Wins Campaign" was created to raise crisis funds for our local students in the most need: The students that suffer from housing insecurities.

We have partnered with the Warren County Public School's "Project Hope Team" that acts as our liaison to these students.  Together, we created an art piece that these students would participate in, making a way to connect local donors to the ones in the most need.

The heart sponsorships provide a fund for these students throughout the year, making it easier to attend school without barriers.

Farm to Fam works to utilize the local farmers food to the local families in need.

This program helps to provide an equal opportunity to healthy food options while supporting our local farmers.

"IF I COULD I WOULD"

The "If I could. I would..." program is designed to reach the children and let them know they can dream big, want many things and that when you ask you may receive.

We have partnered with many local extra curricular organizations to help provide what may have not been possible.  Our community is making it possible for children to thrive that otherwise would not have this opportunity.

At our community outreach events we offer forms for the local children and parents to fill out that let us know the dreams and needs to fulfill them.  We received our first grant for this program from the local Target.

OUR PROJECTS

 "HIKE KIDZ HUB"B

The Hike Kidz Hub serves as a community hub where local agencies, nonprofits, and partners work together to support families facing crisis. Our goal is to create a one-stop place where families can quickly connect to the resources they need—for emergency supplies. By bringing organizations together, we help ensure no family has to navigate hardship alone.

The hub is located at The First Baptist Church of Front Royal and is not open to the public.  It is available to the local agencies and partners that are on the front lines with those in need for swift access to supplies.

OUR CAMPAIGNS

"CLOTHE THE KIDZ"

A-Z School Shopping Experience

Our largest program to date. This program is designed to make sure each child feels they have the same opportunity to shop for choice clothing on the first day of school.  We work directly with the Warren County Public School's as well as open the opportunity up to the community to apply.

In August & September of 2025 we were able to clothe over 250 students with new and choice clothing for the fall school year.  Below you can donate to help us do this again for the 2026 school year. â€‹â€‹

Hike Kidz Foundation partners with local organizations and businesses that offer to host "Giving Trees" as an opportunity for the community to sponsor a local child or single parent guardian in need this Christmas.

Thanks to these locations, community members and volunteers, we were able to provide 264 individuals with Christmas gifts. Special thanks to the First Baptist Church for hosting the event.
