Hike Kidz Foundation is building a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about meeting the basic needs of local children and families. Much of our work involves families experiencing housing instability, financial hardship, or an immediate crisis. That means volunteering with Hike Kidz requires more than a willingness to help. It requires compassion, reliability, discretion, respect for privacy, and a commitment to preserving the dignity of every family we serve. Our volunteers will work alongside our new Executive Director position to operate programs, manage resources, support community outreach, and help strengthen the organization behind the scenes.
At this time, the current positions we are seeking to fill are for our core team volunteer positions. This is a specialized, experienced group that will volunteer together to manage our most important programs. These are part time positions and are developed to be meaningful and smooth.
Our larger events are in 2027 and we will be seeking additional volunteers at that time. In addition to our core team, we will have some opportunities over the Winter that we will collaborate with other organizations and would love to have you join us.
In addition we are seeking to fill our Secretary Board of Directors position.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER ROLES NEEDED
Community Hub Lead/Team
Our community hub is located at the First Baptist Church in Front Royal. The hub serves as a storage location for donated items. Our goal is to have a volunteer in our community to manage the hub, with group and individual help. This would include, overseeing the hub space and the inventory. Communicating with the core team on items when they are needed for our families. These items are specific to crisis items for our Hearts and Grace Fund Programs. Having these items readily available and well managed is extremely helpful to our crisis team serving those in need. The hub is also a wonderful opportunity to have groups come to package items and organize together. The hub is still new and is ready to be stocked for Winter. We cleaned it out of supplies for Clothe The Kidz.
Grace Fund Coordinator
The Grace Fund coordinator would be a part of an elite, private team. This team responds to intakes promptly and quickly navigates a safe stay for a parent or guardians with children for 48 hours. Once the situation is assessed, items from the hub may be needed. In addition, the coordinator provides resources to the family. This is a swift process and is not a daily need but an important one. With Winter coming, we must be prepared to answer the call and provide shelter.
Hold My Heart Coordinator
The Hold my Heart Coordinator responds to intake forms for our local students in need who are referred from the Warren County Public School's. These students have a fund that helps provide basics to nourishment throughout the school year. In addition, the coordinator provides resources that will help the student and family during this time.
Boxes of Basics
Each month we are allotted a certain amount of Boxes Of Basics (seasonal wardrobes) for local children up the size of 16. These orders must be vetted, submitted monthly to Boxes of Basics, then arranged to be picked up and distributed.
