IMPACT & TRANSPARENCY

Hike Kidz Foundation is a 501c3 non profit, registered as a public charity.  Your donations are tax deductible.  To know a non profit, is to know the story and the standards of compliance.  To feel connected, is to get connected to both.

LET'S MEASURE IT

Hike Kidz Foundation exists to turn community generosity into meaningful support for local children and families. We believe our community deserves to see not only what we do, but the impact it creates and how the resources entrusted to us are used.

Who we helped.

What we provided.

What we invested.

Where the money went.

How we verify it.

Who holds us accountable.

Documentation.

Non profits do not have owners.  They have founders that have a mission that includes a hope to help.  Hike Kidz Foundation is a public charity and is ran by a Board of Directors, staff and volunteers. All funds and documentation are publicly owned and available here and by request.  Our organization is a locally based organization that focuses on trust and collaboration.  We are an open door to the public and invite the public to ask questions for clarity and ask that you do, so that we can continue our important work as a community.

Please contact the board President Aaron Hike here with questions, inquires, documentation requests, and meeting requests.

THE VOICE

LOCAL MOM

"Through Hike Kidz Foundation, I experienced compassion when I least expected it. Instead of judgment, there was kindness. Instead of being overlooked, I was reminded that I mattered".

"Today my life looks very different than it did then. I’m no longer trapped in that same cycle of thinking. I’ve found strength, purpose, and hope again".

LOCAL MOM

"Sometimes the impact of an organization can’t be measured in numbers or programs. Sometimes the impact is a life. You changed the direction of it".

Hold My Heart

Outcome: Students facing housing insecurity and other critical hardships received fast, individualized support that removed immediate barriers to attending school, participating in daily life, and maintaining stability. Assistance with clothing, food, transportation, temporary lodging, bedding, hygiene and other essential needs helped prevent short-term crises from becoming larger disruptions. 10 families transitioned into stable housing, providing greater security and consistency for the children served.

Grace Fund

Outcome: Families experiencing urgent financial or housing crises received immediate stabilization when they had nowhere else to turn. Emergency shelter and individualized assistance helped keep children and families safe while longer-term solutions were identified. 10 families moved from crisis into stable housing, reducing housing instability for children in those households.

Clothe the Kidz

Outcome: Local children were able to start school with new clothing they chose themselves, essential hygiene products, and the school supplies needed to participate confidently alongside their peers. By combining new clothing with donated essentials and Community Hub resources, the program reduced the financial burden on families while helping children feel prepared, comfortable and included.

Boxes of Basics

Outcome: Children experiencing clothing insecurity received complete, seasonally appropriate wardrobes of essential clothing, helping ensure that lack of clothing did not become a barrier to school attendance, comfort or participation. The program also extended the value of community donations by converting donated goods into 14,283 practical items placed directly into the hands of children who needed them.

The Community Hub

Outcome: Families gained ongoing access to essential items at the time they needed them, creating a flexible safety net beyond HKF’s individual programs. The Hub allowed donated goods to be quickly redirected to local families and community partners, reducing waste while increasing access to usable resources throughout the community.

Feed the Kidz / Farm to Fam

Outcome: Families experiencing food insecurity gained reliable access to fresh, nutritious, locally sourced food, including options that may otherwise have been financially out of reach. The program helped supplement household food budgets while increasing children’s and families’ access to healthier food choices.

How WE Measure Impact

We count carefully.
We distinguish between unique individuals served, individual service instances, and physical goods distributed. This prevents multiple services provided to the same child or family from being presented as multiple people served.

Then define:

Unique People Served — Individual children/community members counted once.

Services Delivered — Each documented instance of assistance.

"Watching my son open his gifts from Hike Kidz was honestly one of the best moments I’ve had in a long time. He was so grateful to get new clothes. Just seeing him feel comfortable and proud in what he’s wearing means so much. But the biggest surprise was the Riverbend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu membership. When I handed him the certificate, he just stared at it for a second, and then the biggest smile spread across his face. He’s talked about wanting to do MMA for years, and to finally see that dream come true for him was incredible. Now, every time he comes home from class, he’s happier and more confident. It’s given him something to look forward to and a place where he really feels like he belongs. I can’t thank Hike Kidz and Riverbend enough for giving him that. It’s made such a difference in his life, and in ours".
